I tell mine that it means Dear Wife... anything beyond that is just speculation but it may depend on the day

If she's looking over my shoulder as I type it's Dear Wife. If not then it's Darn Wife. She's not looking right now .

Mine doesn't mince words... she tells me exactly what it means and why. Sometimes she tells me for days on end

The abbreviation's on this forum drive me crazy! With some posts you need a decoder ring in order to figure out what someone is trying to say like... is TV television or tow vehicle as an example. People here are too lazy to type I guess. I'm sure I'm going to hear that many post from their phones, I don't care it's still lazy, or maybe people have forgotten how to spell?

Amen!
The abbreviations don't bother me too much except for "TV", but some of the spelling is atrocious! I wonder where or even IF they went to school!

Here's a tip on the "TV decoder conundrum':
If they're talking about hanging it on a wall in their unit, they're probably talking about a television.
If they're talking about pulling or hauling something heavy, they're probably talking about a tow vehicle.

I did say "probably".

Oh... and here's our forum stickie with a collection of terms - some common usage and some ....... well.

I didn't get to far in school, DW is smarter than me, my phone is smarter than me. If it wasn't for my iPhone no one would be able to read my posts.

I normally use TV to mean Tow Vehicle and tv to mean television. Now if I could just get everyone else to conform! :-)

That's generally how it's used on the 6 RV forums I frequent.
