Electrical problem

Just had a second air added to my 31CKTS and now all my switches are backwards and the thermostat for the main ac will not come on. What did Camping World do wrong?

Sounds to me like they connected your battery backwards. If so, then your reverse polarity fuses should be blown to your converter (all the 12 volt DC stuff is now operating off your battery only, but it will not recharge with the fuses blown to the converter.

Go check you battery, and see the colors of the wires. Don't change anything just yet, but let us know what you see or take a pic if possible.

What color wires are connected to positive terminal, and what color wires are connected to negative terminal

What do you mean?

I don't think your battery is connected correct.

Your symptoms describe a reversed wired battery

It should be white to negative (ground) and black to positive....follow the white lead, it should be attached to the trailer frame...

That's it they are backwards. Many RV's are wired with a coloring schematic like a house, not a vehicle.

If you have a black and white battery wire, the black is to the POSITIVE and the white is ground. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but that's the way it is.

Now, as stated earlier, after you switch the terminals correctly, then you have another problem. The reverse polarity fuse(s) to the converter should be blown.

Your reverse polarity fuses will be in electrical distribution panel or on the converter itself.

If in the distribution panel, look for some 30 or 40 amp fuses, and check them. They may even state reverse polarity fuses above like these two 40 amp ones to the left of the others in the pic below.

Let us know if you are lucky and the converter reverse polarity fuse(s) are in the distribution panel. If not, and they are on the converter, it may be a little harder, especially as to where your actual converter may be located...which we can help you with too.

Good luck

So you have corrected the reversed wires on your battery?

No need to replace the fuses until you do that, or the next ones will blow again.

Once you get the battery wired correct, and the fuses replaced...you should be good to go.
