Emergency Trailer Brake
Has anyone use their emergency trailer brake to keep trailer from moving forward while unhitching on sites that slope? I use good wheel chocks and the chocks that go between the tires before I unhook however, I still cringe when on a slope and i unhook camper (especially if slope is toward TV) It recommends you test the brake periodically so I don't believe it would harm anything. Looking for opinions. Thanks.

It will probably use up a lot of power. Not sure if the magnets are meant to be on all the time. I would suggest xchocks or rotochoks

Nope. Just good wheel chocks and X-Chocks. Although, I actually have never put on the X-Chocks until completely disconnected.
Edit: I also suggest that you can place chocks for all four wheels if you are very concerned the trailer will move due to the slope you are on.

I don't put my x-chocks on either, until I am unhooked. I do chock the wheels first thing with these solid rubber chocks from Harbor Freight. They do a good job, and no way they be crushed like some of the cheaper plastic chocks can.

Grizzly,
I use the BAL 28012, although I understand BAL makes several versions.

I use the Bal Chocks between the tires BEFORE I unhook and don't take them out until I am hooked up and retracted the jacks and set the emergency brake on the truck.

One tip is to make sure you tighten them periodically. After arriving at a site and setting up, the tires will have cooled after a few hours and so a re-tighten is necessary to snug them up.
