Enough already

katrina
i am sure many folks suffered losses from katrina, but this is nuts a quadrillion dollar lawsuit against the corps of engineers.
i geuss i can sue now for having to endure the mental anguish of hearing about how all these poor folks suffered because of katrina.
i rode katrina out in my rv and I AM STILL here, no formaldhyde sickness or lost property.

and i didnt tear up a hotel
loot stores
rape women
kill people
or steal their cars

I fell better now

To bad some others are not. I agree I am tired of hearing about it now.

Buy or rent property below Sea Level and you will get wet. Just a matter of time!!!

My prediction as of 1-9-2008 IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Actually I see the one lawsuit is for THREE quadrillion. Musta been one great house. I mean, mine is worth one quadrillion and it's pretty comfortable, so if buddy's damages came to $3,000,000,000,000,000.00, I'd say that would be quite the spread. Well, unless he's maybe exaggerating a bit.... nah I'm sure he has receipts...

But you know, when an idiot gets $2.7 mil for spilling her coffee in her lap, maybe a couple quadrillion ain't bad. Maybe he'll use it to buy fill to raise the place somewhere near sea-level.

one more thing and i wil shut up

when you hear katrina its alwyas new orleans ( the cesspool of the south) and how awfully they suffered.

but low and behold i drive through lower miss quite often and you can still see the devastation of katrina, and the positive hard work of rebuilding going on and folks getting off their arses to rebuild and not stand around crying about how they suffered.

whne we lived in norht bama, folks actually sued the gov because they lived in hotels free for a year and had to move????
and not one of them had even looked for a job.

i knew i should have filed to run for president

I'm with you.........if you live in a flood zone, sooner or later your gonna have a flood.

Maybe the government should file a lawsuit and send a bill to everyone that received aid from volunteers. They sure didn't complain when people from all over the country were giving them free handouts and free lodging, and rebuilding their homes.

It is just a shame the way things are anymore.......

I nearly lost my entire home to a flood. Our losses were nearly $50,000. I don't live in the flood plain, nor do I live below sea level. Like a good neighbor, State Farm paid me exactly $250 for my damage. (food spoilage when power was cut off for 3 months) Restoring the damage costs waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more...because everyone takes advantage and gouges you. It's a really tough situation.
We got back on our feet by good old working hard, blood, sweat, and tears. I didn't sue anyone.

I agree with everyone on this issue, I believe what comes around go's around and those who have taken advantage with out just cause will get there's in the END...... But until that happens, we have to pay.
