Parker is to snow storms what trailer parks are to tornados.
One winter one of our employees got stuck on his way home to Elizabeth and spent two days in his car before National Guard found him. Luckily he had plenty of snacks, water, and a sleeping bag.

A. THAT'S FUNNY! (True too.)

B. If you live in the area, a blizzard/fire Go Bag is standard equipment right next to your foul weather gear Go Bag, which is right next to your fishing pole and hunting rifle behind the seat in the pickup.

Only thing better is if he had his snow mobile gassed up and in the back of the pickup!

Yes, I added a weather radio to our camper equipment. Now I know to check the county too. Good advice

OMG ! I saw that go by. I live close by and it's not far from my kids place.
That's what happens when 20+ inches of snow melt and a 1.5" of rain all happen in less than 24 hrs.

Last year we were headed to Yellowstone from MN. By the time we got to western S.Dakota there were storms rolling in. We stopped to do a little sightseeing at dusk and took a look at radar on our smartphones. There were 2 huge storm systems on either side of the interstate just west of us with a narrow band of showers connecting them. We jumped back in the van and took off. We hit a little rain and some wind but nothing bad. A few days later, while in Yellowstone we met a couple whose tt was beaten up by hail (dents, broken skylight, etc.). They had gone thru the area in SD an hour or two behind us and stopped for the night. They got clobbered by the storm we just missed. A week later on our return trip, we stopped in SD for a few days and many places were still cleaning up branches, etc. from the storm. Sometimes its good to be just plain lucky.
