Eternabond tape question

I have seen a lot of posts extolling the virtues of Eternabond tape. But is there any reason not to use it. Especially with regard to the Alpha room on my 2016 Mini-lite 2504

Eternabond works great on the Alpha TPO roof. I used it on my roof last summer for preventive maintenance. If you follow the directions it is warranted for 10 years.

Yeah the only downside I could think of is if you want to remove it they actually say to cut it out and replace that section with new tape, roof and all. Next summer I'll probably put it on this newest camper to just get rid of anyt further needs to redo caulk.

But is there any reason not to use it.
Don't use it if you like to crawl up on your roof and inspect and reseal caulk every 3 months like the mfg. wants you to...

Eternabond on my roof now for 2 years and still looks brand new. Still stuck down tite... still no uncovered leaking caulk to tend to.

We have a brand new Sonoma 201RD Mountain Edition. I am wanting to put Eternabond on all of the roof seams asap.
Should I go with the 4'' or the 6'' wide tape? cost is not an issue

Thanks

I used the 4 inch and found it to just about perfect for everything I wanted to seal. As far is cost, I checked it out on Ebay and Amazon and used the cheapest one I found. I bought two 50 foot rolls last year and only used one roll. I'll save the second roll just in case and keep it with me when I take the MH out.

Can the 4” be cut in half to get two 2” strips? I’m hoping to avoid buy two sizes.

Yes it can be cut. Use sharp scissors, and I recommend doing cutting somewhere other than on the roof. Just in case you drop the scissors [emoji15][emoji30]

Having cut a lot of 4" tape into 2" strips, I think using a razor cutter and strait edge is cleaner and faster. Use thin plywood of convenient size as a work surface.Scissors tend to get gummed up with the adhesive.
