Smile etrailer is Great

I just want everyone to know that etrailer is a great outfit. If you call they do an excellent job of explaining you options and what to buy and what you don't need. I talked to them today about getting a WDH for my new TT and they told me not to buy it until I had some miles on the trailer and figured out whether I needed it. Its been a long time since I talked to a rep that was helpful rather than just a clueless order taker.

What trailer are you looking to get and what are you towing with? The loaded tongue weight of the trailer and the stated weight capacities of the hitch receiver are the primary determination for wdh need. If you look on your hitch receiver, you should see a load bearing weight and a weight distribution weight. Next remember dry tongue weight is pretty much a useless number as you will never see that weight. Ideally your tongue weight will be 13-15% of the loaded trailer weight (not dry weight).

Second determination for wdh is how level the TV sites, if the TV sites nose high then wdh is needed or adjustments to existing wdh need to be done.

I agree, etrailer is a great site.

I'll second that. Great bunch. Willing to work problems with you and also willing to discuss different options. They don't always try to throw the most expensive thing your way.

X2. On a Monday prior to a planned camping trip on Friday my TT steps lost a fight with a Kubota tractor. Found out eTrailer had the Lippert steps available and ordered them. They had free shipping but I asked about express service. The sales guy said don't waste my money because I should have them by Thursday. The steps showed up at 11 am Wednesday and the TT was ready to go 15 minutes later.

They may not always be the cheapest but you can't beat their service.

I have ordered multiple things from them. Two big class V Curt hitches and several accessories. Presently, I have a new ball mount and hitch ball that just got shipped out today.

big long time fan

Many places sell parts, even at a lower price if you really work the search engines. But i doubt any firm kmows their parts like they do. You get what you pay for and with e-trailer you also get their experience.

The way I wanted to my wired toad with stuff like toad battery charging and 6 to 7 leads was greatly support by their knowlegde base.

I dont work there but put me own as a fan......

I'll second the praise for etrailer. They are about 15 minutes from our race shop and have always been great help on anything we needed for our trailers.

They were excellent with helping me with being able to get the equipment we needed for flat towing a toad. Their videos on products are very well detailed and exceptional. Saved a lot of money by watching videos to show you how to install and didn't have to spend extra $$$ on labor costs.

etrailer is the BEST. I've bought from them many times and every time I have, the order was at my house in just a couple of days and always a complete shipment of quality parts!

I meant that it didn't look like there is an ehitch.com retailer/store where I live. I checked the website, and I didn't see any locations. However, it does look like they carry a lot of Jeep items I might need to get one set up as a toad. It will depend on the year and model for which parts, hitch, etc. I will need to get.
I will definitely be speaking with their rep for advice.

The only etrailer location is in the western suburbs of the St Louis area. Thankfully, I also live in the St Louis area. West coasters, there are always internet orders.
