Ever See.....

A 5'er with a slide in a slide??? Over the last week the DW and I took our Coachmen Apex trailer out to a nearby SP. Saw the eclipse there and the weather was awesome BTW, but I digress. Ennywhoo while we were taking a walk around the CG, we came across a huge and beautiful fifth wheel, it was a Road Warrior. As we were looking at it, I had to do a double take as the large slide had another slide extending from it! I thought WTH???

After we came home (today), I got on the 'puter to look it up and came across a youtube video of it, very impressive. But as I read on here and other forums about folks having problems with slides on their units, I can only imagine what something like this could have!

nope - no way - no how... all that for a bit more floor space. must feel like you are sitting in the back of a tunnel. And how many campgrounds are set up to allow for that much slide out????
(And I really had to think long and hard about getting one slide out LOL)

I'd love the interior space. I have typically seen them in bedrooms and I can only imagine the extra moving space it affords.

BUT- they've all been Schwintek slide systems. Which are great systems when they're installed and sized properly. They likely have the sizing down right, but the install.... they don't slow down enough at the factories to do a passable job.

As for space in parks - there are already campers with 36" and 40" slides. These can't be much deeper.

I have seen them in Montana fifth wheels. There is more room that's for sure. I was hoping Cedar Creek would come out with one

Redwood and Big Country both offer them - super slides in the bedroom - two stage slide really opens up the area but seems like it would impair the bed making process without moving the slide in/out for access

You guys should have seen the spot he was on, trees on both sides. He had to be a master at backing that monster in the spot. I've heard of dual bedroom slides, but this is the first I've seen in a living area.

I saw one on which the front cap slid forward. Can't remember the brand, but I looked it up at the time and found they had discontinued that option.
