Excess nail l hole putty

We just bought a 2017 Coachmen Catalina at the end of last season. Can't wait to use it! We've been getting it ready and noticed a lot of excess putty on the nail holes in the textured interior walls. Any tips on what I can use to get rid if the excess without damaging the walls?

My Coachman Chaparral had some extra too. I just used a paper towel and my finger to rub it off.

Slightly dampening the paper towel works real well too. Not wet, just damp.
Most of that filler putty is water soluble.

We just took receipt of a 2020 Salem Hemisphere Travel Trailer 273RL. Seems that excessive nail hole putty is still and issue.

I also have "Spackle" covering surface defects on my interior walls.
The good news is the factory provided owners with pre-damaged walls so you won't feel as bad when you put a hole in one.
