Exhaust Vent

Hi Everyone,

This is our first official post. We have a question regarding the exterior exhaust vent for the stove.
We have been unable to figure out how to open/unlock the "tabs" I have attached photos.
We have a 2015 Coachman Chaparral 336TSIK 5TH wheel.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Cheers,
Curtis & Michele

The little plastic severe need to be pushed up. Mine broke in the first month. I ripped the fall out and put in a Fabulous Operating products fan replacement. Quiet and internal damper. LED lighting as well.

Pull down on the little tabs. When new they are tight. Just pull down hard and they will pop loose and the vent will open. It seems on mine that they tend to get a little RTV on them from the factory which makes them hard to open the first time..

Now I second guess myself, push up or pull down. Try each direction, probably push up. They are tight..

Yeah, push up and out. One of mine finally broke off, but the remaining one holds ok.

Thanks everyone, I have tried pushing, pulling, prying and yelling at it. Tomorrow is another day and we'll give it a shot.

Yea, after your Wheaties in the morning push up them, one at a time. I think you will find that they have been sealed shut with the sealant they used when it was installed...

push up tab real hard and push out at the same time... one at a time... they eventually get easier but I only seal one tab back when traveling

I just leave my vent open all the time, I would need to be ten feet tall to open my vent. My first time to open vent did not work and I broke a tab off. Took back to dealer to get some other issues fixed and let them open it. Now I have to lower microwave to turn blower around so it will blow out the vent

It's more of an outward and upward movement.
