Extended Service Warranty

Has anyone purchased an extended service contract from Wholesale Warranties? If so your opinion and experience would be appreciated. Thanks for the response.

I did, researched and found them to be the best price for what they cover. Very helpful agents. I thank goodness have not needed to use it but sleep better at night knowing I have something to cover the risk.

The only extended warranty that we bought was Forest Rivers 2nd year for like $150? but we did not need that.

Can't speak for that company but we have not had any luck buying extended warranties either they would not cover what went wrong, or we just didn't need them. Any more our piece of mind is not buying them. They been a waste of money for us. Never in 35 years have we had one to pay off.

The last $$ one I bought for the truck cost over $2500 but I still ended up with a $4500 repair bill and no coverage I would have been better off saving the $2500 toward the repair bill & not throwing it away to the extended warranty company. So I was out $7000.

Depending on what your buying if a tt then you can buy the FR 2nd year warranty for $150. To me that's pretty cheap and covers everything that the first year warranty covers. I bought it so we shall see how it goes. later RJD

Self insure. Put the money you would spend on an extended warranty into the bank. If had to use then it paid for itself. If you didn't have to touch it then you have that much money plus interest in your pocket. With the extended warranty you are out all of the money of never used. These companies make money by not paying, having deductibles and collecting money off of interest.

Don't think putting $150 in bank going to make you much money Later RJD

$1500-$2000 will which is what most of these companies charge. Even if its only a couple of dollars in interest at least I still have my $1500-$2000 in 4-5 years.
