Extended warranty, buyer beware.
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share a little piece of information that we found out while trading in our Jayco 5th. wheel for a Georgetown 364 TS. We purchased the extended warranty from the dealer that we bought the trailer from, it was called Jay Plus. It reads the same as most where you can transfer or terminate and get a prorated rebate for the unused portion. Upon calling to get this process started we learned that they have our policy listed, but they don't have a record that we paid for it. It is there belief that the dealer gave it to us. Checking our records, we found that they wrote is as 7 year warranty included. So if buying an extended warranty, I would highly recommend having it written up separately, so this issue can not happen to you. We will be following up with the better business borough as the dealer was taken over by camping world, who of course does not have any record of the sail.
