The RVQ is the diesel of BBQ's. It spawns as many likes and dislikes or distrusts as any thread on diesel v. gas, or Ford v. Chevy v. Dodge. I liked mine, and if I had it on my new camper (now 4 years old), I would still be liking it.

Only reason i have the rvq it came with the Rockwood. I assumed it must be ok since it was engineered that way. When i finish with with this TT will sell the grill and give the TT to go with it. Just like wood charcoal from the bag or make my own.

I also have used it on TT and 5th Wheel. No fire, melted awning.. I do not cook really greasy hamburger on high or anything like that. There are hot spots and cooler areas. I also use a electric griddle for pancakes on the shelf or dutch oven insert for other dishes. I have a brand new RVQ waiting to replace the current one when it fails.

Brian

I kept a hold of the RVQII we got with our last travel trailer. This is the best grill we have ever owned. So easy to clean and it cooks perfectly. My wife like the griddle plate at the side to cook eggs, mushroom, tomatoes etc. Because we traded the TT for a 5er that didn't have a mounting rail on the side I bought the table top stand. Perfick!

Been using the one one the side of my Micro Lite 19fd for two years now. Only problems I've had are before I could use it I had to heat and bend the mounting brackets so the dogs would stop rolling downhill, and every screw on the thing has to be periodically tightened or else the dang thing will fall to bits. However I love the thing. Never had any staining of the side of the trailer or awning. Did have the smoke detector go off once while making bacon burgers though.

The dutch oven part is great for stew and works like a slow cooker if turned down low enough. Inverhuron Saturday breakfast! I cook under the awning and have never set fire to it or chared the side of the her either

Was thinking of locktite but i saw that OC had drilled out the handles and put bolts all the way through the handles, one more mod to do!

We have a Camp Chef 3 burner Big Gas Grill, emphasis on big. The griddle plate weighs 29 lbs by itself. Unfortunately, we didn't read size specs very well, because it doesn't fit in any of the lower storage bins. When we take it with us, it is stowed between back wall and the bed.

Grill find was good but my best find was a Norman Rockwell signed print of Christmas in Stockbridge in an original frame with the certification papers in an a plastic sleeve attached to the back of the print. Talked the person down to $3.00. Yup, Three dollars.

Funny. We're picking up our new Flagstaff today, and my wife is convinced we'll melt our trailer, awning, perhaps even burn down a national forest if we use the RVQ. Glad y'all are having success with yours.
