I think this has been covered in a number of other threads and the consensus is to buy one of the mattress toppers. Usually min. of 2" and some go to 4".

We went a different route. Just bought the same type of mattress we have at home and replaced the RV mattress.

We bought one of those egg carton type of foam paddng. We then place a fitted quilted mattress pad on top of that. Works great for us.

Some people use the memory foam mattress. I saw one at wally world the other day , I believe it sold for around $55.

Hope this helps.

We bought a 2 1/2" memory foam topper at Walmart and then put a heated mattress pad over that. It's MUCH more comfortable then before.

Our matress was giving me a terrible backache. We got a memory foam topper and no more backache! The only problem is if you have under bed storage the extra weight means the struts may not hold the bed up anymore.

We bought a $100 queen size air bed from Wally World. Beats the cheap installed bed. Put a thin topper over that and no more back pain.
