This seller has tons of tablets. 8 or 9 inch were not available at a price like this, but he did have 10". I just thought that would be too big.
Anyway, I'll let you know how it works after I get it on Tuesday!

Well, thanks to blwnsmoke's help, I have figured out how to operate Forscan and it works great on my IPhone. However, when I got an Android tablet and downloaded Forscan for Android, I have trouble getting all of the modules. I only get the TCM and part of the PCM.

You can see here that the EGT's are missing.

This is all I get on DPF.

I really don't believe this has anything to do with the tablet or my adapter. Maybe the downloaded software is corrupt. Since the IPhone works with the adapter, I think the adapter is probably OK. I emailed FORScan, so we'll see what they say.

Ouch went to dealer to get the spare tire replaced and talked to the mechanic working on my truck, asked why a new F550 was sitting there all apart, he said owners employee put DEF in the Fuel tank causing the fuel system to fail $7,000 in parts just to fix not including Labor 😳 Holly Cow I would have been pissed.

That is one mistake never to make, so from now on I will put the Diesel in myself and never trust anyone when a mistake like that can be made, UGH

It has to be a bad download.. the adapter doesn't know any different. I'd remove and try to reinstall again and see if it fixes it. Check the version number that you have and I can compare with mine.

Ford makes a part kit now for a little under $4,000 that gives them everything they need for a fuel contamination issue and that is with dealer profit. Book is 18 hours for contamination to R/R the whole system so they are talking retail, not dealer cost with those figures.

And seriously.. how can this be any more clear? SMH when someone does this...

Hey Smoke, I've been working with the FORScan folks. They said it seems like the WiFi wasn't completely loading. I tried again and just waited and waited and waited. Finally it loaded. I wonder if it is because I bought a cheap adapter. Anyway, look here! I got it working.

There's a way to improve the response time of the cheap Chinese adapters according to FORScan's WEB site, but the URL does not work on mine. Maybe I just need a better adapter. Where did you get yours?

I get 19-22ms ping rates which is as good as you can get. I don't remember who asked about whether they act like real gauges or not and it is the ping time that is what's important for them to report properly.

You should hopefully be close to 20ms response time.

Also, if you haven't yet, you will need to change the temperature settings to show Fahrenheit instead of Celsius as the default is Celsius.

See if it continues to give you a hard time.. if you keep the adapter plugged in which I believe I stated earlier I've kept it plugged in for over a week without using my truck with no battery drain issues. That may help...

Also one thing to note is that when you tap the connect button you need to wait for the car symbol to turn green. It will go from red (not connected) to yellow/orange (connecting and communicating with each module) to green (ready to start monitoring).

See here, the car is yellow/orange due to the computer modules just starting to load.

And then green once you are ready to go.

Makes you wonder why anyone would spend $400 for a monitor when for under $125 you can have an 8" tablet and all the hardware you need. FAR superior to any monitor on the market.

I have the Forscan app but I have not been able to find a ELM327 adapter, Bluetooth that is compatible w An iPhone or iPad. Last week, I bought BlueDriver from Amazon. Tried it out on my sisters 2004 Dodge pickup. It works but only a small number of PIDs are supported by the truck. Once I get home tomorrow, I will plug into my 2014 F250 SD, 6.7L, and see how many PIDS are supported.

I don't know but it is a landscaping truck owner had one of his employees do this to it, I figure $ was inflated but I have no idea one is green says diesel so have no clue how you make that mistake but it was a costly one. I bought some def from Walmart 2.5 gallons for $8.00, bought a new funnel just for def if I need it and new gloves for when I put Diesel in my truck.
