Too bad it's a Ford. I look forward to next week when you post about your next new truck.

Okay, just have to say that I am beginning to think this board is used by juveniles and not adults. And this is based on the comments that I see. I asked for advice and I get smartass comments.

Don't worry about it, Danno23. "There's one in every crowd."
You'll see lots of harmless ribbing over TV brand loyalty here on FRF. If you want to avoid truly juvenile posters, don't join a truck forum!
If you read anything that's offensive here don't hesitate to report it by clicking on the red triangle with the exclamation mark in it (if you're using the web browser version). The forum admins do a great job maintaining decorum and cleaning up threads if they start to get nasty.

Don't worry, look past it. Many if not most wish you the best. That truck will serve you well and tow great.

Just a few guys that are so disappointed they are not Ford owners. They just keep on trying to justify their mistakes ~~ and sadly, keep making the same mistake over and over. Don't be angry at them, have sympathy.

Awesome truck. If you paint it gray with a wide black stripe along the bottom, it would look like mine...lol The company I retired from used a lot of Ford Superduty's on pipeline projects. They still have several 2011 models and up with over 250,000 miles on them and still going strong. I figure my 2016, F350, 6.7 SRW, 4x4 will last me until I'm long gone. I have a son who would love to drive it a few years..lol
But, I'll say this; I can hitch it to my 13,500 lb fifth wheel, and still accelerate going up a 6% grade. There's not a stock gasoline engine built that will do that. Ford has hit a winner with the 6.7, and the naysayer's hate it. Nothing wrong with the Cummins engine, (it's just what's wrapped around it that bugs me) but the Ford will outpull and out accelerate it. The Cummins might outlast the Ford, but the jury is still out on that. And I really don't have an opinion on the Duramax, except that it won't keep up with the Ford...lol
Take care of it, use high quality oil, change the filters when needed, and it will give you many years of reliable service.

I'd go with a 350, especially if you ever want to get a bigger trailer. I bought a 250 and wish I'd gotten a 350. We've tossed the idea of a 5th wheel toy hauler around, but I can't tow them and still be weight legal due to the payload limit. My neighbor and I have the exact same truck, mine a 250 and his a 350. His 350 has more than 1000 lbs extra payload capacity than my 250.
The price difference between a 250 and a 350 is very minimal.
