Fabric care for bedspread and shams
Just brought our new (to us) 2016 Cardinal fifth wheel home. The bedspread and shams need to be cleaned but have no fabric care tag on them. Anyone know if they are dry clean only or if they can be laundered?

I've always found them to be more for looks than really functional. We threw ours out and just use ones picked up at Walmart. Plan to do the same with the new one coming with the new trailer.

Yep, those are the first things to go! We consider them decoration for selling and they go into a box until it's time to sell/trade.

You can try and take them to a commercial laundromat, but I personally would throw them out with the mattress.
Not part of your question, but we remove the pillows and bedspread and store them in a large plastic bag until we decide to sell or trade.

Pretty sure they are all polyester, so I would just throw them in the washer if you're set on keeping them.

Bedspread etc.
I agree with the other responses--pack it up and get something new. I outfitted our Sunseeker with bedding and towels from Big Lots. I wanted them to coordinate with the decor of the RV. All of it is easy care.

We always pack ours up and store them in a closet in the house so we can put them back in our trailer if/when we trade/sell it. I made the mistake of grabbing the bedspread in the closet the other day and something stuck in my hand! It felt like thin wire although I could never see anything. That stuff is dangerous!

It sounds like most of us do the same thing, store it for resale later. Mine matches the valences so I washed it on gentle cycle in cold water, line dry. Then stored til camper is sold.

We have a Cedar Creek 5th Wheel. Beginning 3rd year of full timing. The mattress is very comfortable and the bed cover has held up well.

Throw it out!
Personally I don't care for the bedspreads that come with the rvs. I threw the first one out and replaced with one that was more to my liking . When we replaced the rv with a new one, I put the new bedspread on the rv we were trading in. We also replace the mattresses. Have not found one to be comfortable yet!

Like others we've always packed them away till selling time. Purchasers have always been impressed to see them. I buy something durable, washable and more to my taste.

Last camper we ordered we saved the money and did not get bedspreads etc. Our current RV we are currently using it. We have never a received penny more for a camper with or without a spread.
The DW says if you can't just throw it in the washer it is not worth having.

Ours were dry clean only. Which I thought was stupid in a TT. I washed them and the curtains in cold water on hand wash cycle.. I hung them up to air dry. Then I packed them away and used one of my moms handmade quilts on it instead and purchased curtains I liked better.

The tag on mine says “dry clean only”. But I can’t see why it wouldn’t be machine washable on the hand wash or delicate cycle. I used the one that came with the TT the first year but have replaced it this year. Like others, it is now stored in a plastic bag in the closet.

On our Cedar Creek we threw away the bedspread but now our mattress sleeps better than our mattress at home, it’s a Trump King.

We have used our mattress for 5 years now, but, the spread, while it can be washed (no dry clean tag on it), you can't dry it in a dryer - it will melt. If you wash yours, just let it dry naturally.

I bought a 2016 Cardinal when it was new. The mattress that came with it was a Trump King, and it is extremely comfortable. We still use the bed covering and throw pillows, putting them back on when I make the bed in the morning. Don't know what the washing instructions are though. Enjoy your Cardinal.
