TV antenna

There is an I-phone app called TV Towers that will help you locate signal direction.

I did NOT find SaniDumps in a search of the iStore.

If your looking for a good weather map, go to www.omahachannel.com go to the weather section and click on interactive radar. You have to scroll around to find the section of the country your in but it has symbols for thunderstorms, high winds, hail and tornados. It gives you a great heads up on what is headed your way.

I just got Satoolz. There is a version for DirecTV and a version for DishTV. You point your camera south and the app superimposes a bright red dot in each satellite position. It is a quick and easy way to find a line of sight in situations where there are lots of trees or other obstructions.

I'll add my fav weather app: Weather Underground. They finally have a real App for phones and its great. It can use your gps location to retrieve local conditions, temps, radar, forecasts (daily and hourly).

The radar is pretty good. The app is free and ad supported but if you already pay the small $10 membership annual fee for ad free web access and improved web radar then you will have ad free app experience as well.

Best weather app for the iPhone and android devices in my opinion.

Only drawback is there is no iPad enhanced version yet, just the iPhone version that runs in the iPad.

I wish I saw this before my trip. Used these on my Google Nexus 7 tablet. I would add:
• Latitude(Latitude allows certain people to view location)
• Google maps ability to do offline maps with builtin GPS on tablet
• Heywire - Text message free to anywhere in Canada/US
• Dell Voice, a free program/service from Dell and Fongo.com that gives you a free phone number, free local calling, and free Canadian/US long distance (see list of cities below). The key thing to understand is that calls are made over data networks (an active internet connection) instead of voice minutes. That said, it has the advantage of giving you a real phone number that others can call directly -- even from landlines. Most VOIP services don't have this (at least free).
• Kindle reader app for our books(our kindle screen broke on trip, so now using Google Nexus 7 for this as well)
• someone else mentioned "All Stays Camp and RV" app for $6 I love this app, worth it to find nearest campground and at the same time giving all the information needed to make a decision about how far to drive or where to pull in for the night. I just did a trip from Des Moines to BC. Paid for itself many..many times. I would have bought the tablet just for this app!
