I think you will really like Pocahantas. We've been there several times. Nice big sites, most are pull-thrus. Very nice pool. We've been to several of the state parks and so far they are all very nice.

I understand Steve. Sir and/or Mr. John was/is my father. I guess you being a CWO I should have said Mr. I will refrain from formailities in the future. You still impress me though taking you neighbor camping with you. The "Golden Rule" is easier said than lived by.

And you are welcome to the Great Nation State of Texas and my humble abode anytime. Just give me a couple of months heads up. May even do one of my favorite State Parks that's about an hour and a half away. Ft. Richardson in Jacksboro, Tx. It's my favorite close by State Park. But like I said, I've got a big back yard too.

Yes, the wife takes the girls out to the waterpark all the time. We are only about 20 minutes from there

Good for you. Late September and October are my favorite times of year at Small Country. September can be extra nice when the leaves are turning. You're right, the Smalls will go out of their way for you.

One very patient wife and one furry child who travels with us. Forty-two years of trailering and camping, and I still have a blast.

I remember my first 'welcome' when I moved to Texas from Minnesota...

Two 'ol boys'' were sitting on the front steps of the new fire station I was assigned to. One Texan looked at the other and said, "Oh boy Steve, here comes a "TEXAS NIGHTMARE." A YANKEE WITH A U-HAUL!" (true story)

I've met some proud people in my day...but none PROUDER than your average TEXAN.
