final trip of the season

Sadly we are taking our final trip of the year this weekend, starting to get pretty cold up here in New England. We'll have full hookups at our campsite and I know you're not really supposed to leave the tanks dry but I'm assuming you don't want to leave any water in there to freeze over the winter and since this will be my last opportunity to take advantage of a dump station I was planning on getting the tank as clean and empty as possible... anyone have any thoughts or advice...??

thanks,

After you dump your tanks and roll home, you will put a little water in flushing/blowing out water with antifreeze and/or air ... then you will likely put antifreeze in your sink traps, bathroom trap, maybe a little in the toilet ... so that will put a little liquid in your tanks to protect the seals.

Fill your water lines with RV antifreeze. Be sure to poor 1/2 gallon into each tank plus some down your sinks for the traps. Leave a couple inches of antifreeze in your toilet bowl.

Do not forget to bypass and empty your water heater before pumping in antifreeze.

And your washer hookup if you have one

Black tank flush

Sprayer on kitchen sink

Shower head - we remove head and let it run until the koolaid shows up

Flush toilet to get koolaid into the system too
