Finally!!

Good morning everyone,
Well, I finally sat down and started a photo album here, nothing fancy just some camper pictures.
A couple of weeks ago we put some rope light clips along the bottom of the trailer and we can mount "black"light(purple) rope lights underneath the length of the box. plan to take a couple of pics of that IF I like the results. If not I'll take them off.

I installed clear rope lights all the way around the bottom of our camper as well. It's works out well, one thing I don't have to take down and put away. The other good thing about it is if a storm comes up while camping and you need to put up the awning, there are no lights to take off but yet you still have lights out side. It is a good idea, and you can see whats under your camper.

Hey guys,
I did the same when I bought my TT. I ran a length of clear rope lights down the frame on the curb side. It gives off just enough light to see around the patio area and not bother the neighbors, as I leave them on all night.

When I installed my lights, I zig zag the lights and used gray pvc pipe clamps to hold it in place. How did you all install yours?

On our camper the metal trim along the bottom has screws every 6 inches. I removed a screw and placed the clips that came with my rope lights about 18 inches apart and also have a cable "zip" tie on each clip for extra security. Around the fender well they are attached with silicone adhesive and heavy duty binder clips.

The reason I used pvc pipe clamps is because I travel with mine already attach. I found that the clanps the come with the rop lights break down and the lights fall. I too used the same screws as you did, but added one extra for the other side of the clamp. As far as the wheel wells go, I was able to feed the lights through the open channel in the wheel assembly just above the tire.

There's a 1/2" propane line that runs along the curb side "I" beam frame, from the front to the rear of the TT. I zip tied the rope lights to this pipe. The water heater is at the rear of the trailer, in the rear storage compartment, so I get power(110v) from the GFI receptacle it's plugged into.

zip ties?? why didn't you use screws to fasten them to your gas line??

I avoided the gas line altogether. I started my lights at the back just under the bumper on the curb side and went forward, i use an extention cord. My GFI is in the middle of the camper right next to the refrigerator. When I install the extention cord, I pull it behind the rear tire then up between the two and then plug in.
