This should stop all the discussion about wither or not you can tow a 5th wheel with a 1/2 ton

A good friend of mine bought this 5th wheel last fall. He ordered it and had to wait 10 months for it as the demand is very high. It's built in Canada and is very high quality both inside and out by a family owned company.
He pulls his with a classic 1972 chevy 1/2 ton pickup with a newer 350 chevy engine. He pulled it home to IOWA with his truck and luv's this Camper and his towing setup!

That's a nice looking rig. I see a few small 5er's at CG's from time to time being towed by 1/2 tons.

I would order one in a heartbeat if it weren't for the wet bath. I know it would be a lot easier to tow and back than a bumper pull

My FR Wildcat 27RL was legal to tow with my Ecoboost F150 with all of the towing bells and whistle options and 1 occupant in vehicle.

I sold it and upgraded to a 1 ton because I wanted more engine power and more CCC to put more stuff in the truck bed and 5th wheel. While the EB is a powerful engine, it lacked the power to maintain 55mph minimum up a couple of high altitude mountain passes-I live in CO.

With that said, there are plenty of longer 5th wheels out there that can be hauled by a 1/2 ton truck-especially those that have factory "max" tow packages installed.
