We are parked permanent and our CG says they don’t allow space heaters and charge extra for a 2nd fridge. Our new trailer has a fireplace and a 2nd fridge in the OK. They’ve never said a word.

Although the 2nd fridge rule makes no sense because we pay for our own electric.

I assume the space heater rule has something to do with liability in case it starts a fire.

I would love to see some pics of people's fireplaces....!!! I love fireplaces in general, be it in the house or the RV. Maybe someday we can have one but until then, please share and I will live vicariously through y'all!

We ordered ours without it, just finally seen it yesterday, there is one installed. As long we are not charged for it, then that's ok. Sounds like it will be good to have.

We don't have a built-in fireplace in our Windjammer, but we bought one of those little "looks like an old, black Franklin stove" heaters at Wally World. There is a perfect place for it right next to the dining room table when the slide is out. When we travel, it sits perfectly well on the floor in front of the breakfast bar and never moves. Does a nice job of heating the trailer (750 watts LOW or 1,500 watts HIGH) and the fire looks as realistic as any of the built-ins that the manufacturers are putting in new RVs.

Thanks! I love it!! There is just something about a fireplace that is just makes everything so much cozier! And obviously - since I am a RVer, I like small cozy spaces to begin with.

We've had two RVs with the electric fireplaces in them. We just love them so much that we bought an electric Franklin stove for our home. Now we get up in the morning, grab a cup of coffee and sit in the lazyboy to enjoy the "Fire".
