First Trip In our Cherokee

We had a great time, weather could have been better, it was a bit rainy, and cold, but we were camping. Everything worked great except for the antena. It cranks up, but will not turn left or right. I am going to look in the manual, but any suggestions? Also, here is a picture of us with the new TT..

glad you got it out

silly question is once you cranked the antenna up did you pull down and then rotate?

Crank up fully then pull down on outer ring and turn. Make sure you line up arrows before you crank it down.

Have used one before, it's not working, the ring comes down, but it will not turn.

I am sorry, I guess if you do not know someone then sometimes it can be the obvious, and I should have stated it. I am usually the one who my camping buddy's come to to ask questions. I am going to get the ladder out and see what is up there, just was wondering if they might have had something locked down from when it was built.

I know on our 05 Cherokee when they installed the ant. they left a clump of sealant that stuck to the ant. assembly. I cut some of that away and then it worked fine.

That's what it was, it was keeping it from moving. We are all set...

Glad to see it was something simple - I would have never guessed it being a clump of silicone
