First trip with used Puma 295kbh
A few months back we purchased a used 2011 Puma 295kbh. The trailer is in excellent condition and the seller assured us that everything worked. Not wanting any suprises at the campsite I thoroughly went through the unit and yup, everything worked. We switched from a tent to an rv and this past weekend was our first outing. The forecast was bad enough that we would have cancelled a tenting trip. Let me tell you.......WE HAD A GREAT TIME! Everything worked perfectly and the outdoor kitchen is just awesome. We had more neighbors than we are used to but oh well. We did learn one lesson, forget one thing and have one problem.
When I was making sure that everything worked I drained the toilet and didn't put any water back in. When we got to the campsite and opened the door the smell could have knocked you out. LESSON LEARNED?
We forgot the sugar.
After hooking everything up I wanted to flush the black water tank out a few times. Filled it up, pulled the drain and sure enough, brown sluge came out. But it stopped before the tank was empty. So now I have a hose full of "stuff " and no way to drain it. WTF? To make a long story short, the sewer lines were blocked. Park maintenance came out with an industrial roto rooter and problem solved.
Our first rving experience was better than we hoped for and we can't wait to go again! I would like to post some pictures but can't figure out how to do it from my smartphone.
