Flagstaff 27RLWS vs Rockwood 2703WS

I am looking to purchase a travel trailer in the next month. The wife and I love this floor plan. We have seen the Flagstaff but not the Rockwood. We have seen many other Rockwoods. Is there any strong opinion on quality between the two brands? Thanks for your input.

I took the factory tour for Rockwood/Flagstaff in Elkhart, IN where the two trailers are built. The only difference are the decals and I think the color of the exterior.

I think the only difference is going to be color choices. We have a 2013 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite, 8315BSS and are very happy with it.

I just took my 2015 Rockwood 2703WS on its maiden trip. The only difference I know about are colors and fabrics. I seem to recall when I was comparing the two that some options on one are standard on the other and vice versa. I love our floor plan. My only beef is that the bedroom is a bit tight walking around it and the exterior storage is a bit limited but it is enough.

When we bought our 2014 Flagstaff 27RLWS, last April, we could have had the 2015 for same price. The only differents was ours had a free standing dinette, where as the 15 had a built in one. We traded a 2011 Rockwood 2604, I have to say the Flagstaffs interior is a lot nicer than the RW 2604 and just seems to be a little bit better quality. Just my opinion, RW owners please take no offense, as none meant.

Thanks everyone. Here's another question. Do you have electric stabilizers? If so what's your opinion on them? I keep reading about issues with them, like not very strong and often pop fuses.

3 years rear electric Stabilizers on fifth wheel, no problems. Keep in mind that they are stabilizers and not designed for jacking.

Our Flagstaff has them and we also use steady fast system. My older 2011 Rockwood had regular manual jacks, as have every RV we've owned. There is no way I can get the Flagstaff still! Mine are going to be replaced w/HD scissor jacks.

You need to realize that they are just stabilizers and not levelers. Our 2015 Rockwood 2703WS came with automatic reseting fuses. If you put too much pressure on the leveler they pop and then reset after about 10 seconds. You can also buy fuses with this feature at many auto parts stores.

Regarding the sway issue, we do have some movement with the stab jacks deployed but since there are only two of us it is not a major problem. I am looking at getting a couple of lightweight screw jacks to place under the frame between the wheels which has been suggested in another post. My problem is that I am very near max weight for TV and TT and must watch every pound.
