flagstaff or rockwood

looking at purchasing a new flagstaff 8528RKWS or rockwood 8280WS. Appears they are basically the same trailer. Just wondering if you would have any watch outs or preferences over one or the other. The quotes I've gotten so far are almost identical and the two dealers involved are near each other as well so price and dealer location wouldn't have much of a factor as to which one I would pick. Thanks for your input.....

We bought the Flagstaff mostly just because we liked the exterior graphics more. But the interior colors were a bit different as well at that time. Not sure if that is still the case.
But they are functionally identical. You may want to consider which dealer has a better reputation, and buy there.

Just pick which one you like the best and feel you get the best deal on. I would also choose the dealer you felt most comfortable with and you think will give you the best after-the-sale service.

I ended up buying my Flagstaff 90 miles down the road and saved $4000 dollars from what the Rockwood dealer locally wanted. I also really liked the sales/service staff from the Flagstaff dealer too....and have nothing but praise for any dealings I have had with them.

As far as the trailers, they come out of the same factory, but just have some different decals, colors, and interior color schemes. They are exactly the same in the components.

We discussed this here:

rockwood vs flagstaff

have you priced the Rockwood version from RVW or RVDirect.
they tend to have the best prices nationwide. don't know of any similar "wholesale" Flagstaff dealer.

since they are the same exact trailer, other than outside decals and interior decor patterns/colors, i guess it comes down to what decor you like better.
and what dealer you feel better about.

We priced both of ours (Rockwood 2306 vs. Flagstaff 23LB) at the RV show and they were exactly the same... just like the trailer is the same.

The reason we ended up going with the Rockwood was basically because we just liked the dealer better, and I liked the interior color best. We even drove farther to get it.

I've only worked with local Ontario dealers so far. Will check with RVW and RVDirect and see what they offer. Not sure if US dealer will take a trade in from Ontario but will check with them.
Thanks

RVW does not take in trade-ins. RVDirect does but not sure about a Canadian trade-in.
many from Canada have bought from both companies and they are well-versed in sales to Canadians. i think RVW has a site specifically with info for Canadian customers.

didn't know you were in Canada since you don't have your location listed.
