Flagstaff Tank Capacities

I just bought a used 08 Flagstaff 831QBSS and was wondering if anyone knows the tank capacities for this unit. I cannot find the info anywhere in the literature that I got with the unit and on the Forest River website it just says "TBA".

My Flagstaff is not the same model yours is, but my holding tank capacities are all 25 gal, and the water tank is 31. Yours may be larger as my model is an ultralite, 26RKS

You can take a 5 gallon bucket and pour water into each tank, counting the number of buckets you pour in to get a very close estimate.

Exactly!! That is the only way to be sure what they are.
I suggest taking a gallon milk jug and pouring 4 gallons
into a "5 gallon" bucket. Mark the water level with a
magic marker at 4 gallons exactly.
Now you can carry it easier without sloshing out and
making a mess. Pour measured buckets into the tank until it's full.
It's the only way to know for sure.
FWIW, my trailer is also rated at 24 gallons so maybe
there is a trend here?

Also the stated fresh water capacity often includes the
6 gallons in the hot water heater.
So if your brochure says 31 gallons your "useable" fresh
water is more likely 25 but since you can't pump out the
last 1 or 2 gallons it's probably closer to 23 gallons fresh
water.

Again, if you really want to know exactly you can fill
the fresh tank and then use your outside shower to
fill that 4 gallon bucket over and over until you run
it dry.
Then you'll know for sure!
Anything else is just guessing.

Even if you had the brochure for your trailer there is
almost always some fine print somewhere that says--
"Specifications subject to change without notice."

Measure them and you'll know for sure.

Happy Camping!

My 28kfss has two gray tanks (one tor the shower and one for the kitchen) both are rated for 30 gal, the black tank is also rated at 30 gal.
