They might and I wouldn't risk starting off on the 'wrong' foot with them. I'm sure they know and expect customers to be unhappy when things go wrong to some extent, but it helps to try to gain and maintain a calm demeanor when working to get things resolved. There's no shame in trying to 'take back' some of your words for the time being It's up to you!

There are several FR factory employees that are members on this forum. While they are not on here in an "official" capacity, they do read many threads (especially ones that pertain to their own departments) and can often help get things done. Best to be nice to them...

Here is the email of the FR rep that helped me with warranty issues. He may be able to help you with this. I would not trust what the dealership tells you.

Thanks for everyone's replies and suggestions.
Spoke with dealer today and they are going to cover the claim and do the work themselves.

Good for you. That sure is a fast turnaround from the dealers first position. Sometimes folks need a nudge to do the right thing.

Still have to wonder that the dealer is covering the claim themselves.

I developed a water leak from the underbelly. It's been determined that its leaking from the black tank valve. Since they know that we are going away next weekend, they are going to put some sealant on the leak which should be sufficient to hold it until after our trip where they will have to remove the black tank entirely to do the repairs. All under warranty.

Thank you Campers Inn and Forest River.

I doubt very much that the repair is coming out of the dealers pocket, but glad you got a quick change of mind from them.

I've had several warrantee issues with FR and they have been first class and paid all of them. My dealer is 250 mi away so I used a local shop, a mobile technician and myself doing the work and getting the parts from FR or through my dealer.
I'm amazed that FR wouldn't repair the roof. Sounds fishy to me!
