Forest River denying my warranty claim!

We have had our Gray Wolf 26dbh for less than 6 months and the roof is coming apart at the seams towards the front and FR does not want to honor a warranty claim to fix or repair it.
I am pissed to say the least. This is our first TT and we were pretty happy with our purchase until now.

I am done for now.
I need a beer!

How old is your trailer? We've owned our Salem Cruise Lite for 2 years and they've replaced the two front panels within the last 6 months due to peeling paint. I'm surprised they won't do anything for you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Forest River fan either, but in our case, they took care of it and we'll continue camping until next Spring keeping our fingers crossed nothing else comes up!

Are you the original owner? I'm curious about what reason they gave you.

Sorry you are having trouble, that would be frustrating for sure

Dealer stated FR denied due to not inspecting every 90 days. I did this, got on roof before every time we took it out to check on it. Before I took it to the dealer for repairs after our season was complete looked again and noticed rubber roof coming apart and told our service guy.

Contact FR directly. See the library for contact info. This sounds like a dealer issue.

Lol you'll probably eat your post after you call forest river,
I forwarded your post to forest river employees but I would contact them directly.
And maybe clean up your original post just my opinion.

X2...........

Something is entirely fishy here.

You may end up saying "I hate my dealership" instead of "I hate FR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The way these things often work is that Forest River has a set scale that they will pay to the dealer to have warranty work completed. Dealer will often disagree with that amount and want to get paid more, then the fight is on. In our case, my trailer eventually went back to the factory to have the roof repaired/replaced. That turned out to be a good thing, because the factory techs determined that some sidewall repair also was required. I'm guessing that the dealer's shop probably would have missed that (or ignored it !!)

I would probably remove the entire second paragraph, lol! I can empathize with how upsetting this situation must be - that's why a 'cool off' period is necessary, especially before you talk to them. Just remember that you catch more flies with honey

Im guessing he is talking about CW, I may be wrong if so I'm sorry. From what i have heard FR is the best of all of the manufactures when it comes to repairing things. Just ask anyone who was at the FROG Rally getting stuff fixed that was way out of warranty.

I would definitely edit your original post until FR tells you they will not cover the repair.

Not CW. This is a place in Toledo, Ohio.
I am getting the necessary information tomorrow and I will call FR myself.
Thanks for letting me vent.
