I agree with you, Bubbles! Give me a quality unit and keep your trinkets. The last thing I would want to do is advertise for Forest River!

Hey I got a welcome gift....some toilet paper and some blue stuff for my toilet which came in handy the first time I passed a semi with my new camper trailer I could have sworn the truck driver was laughing at me as I crawled by. He looked a lot like Warren Bruffet! Since I bought this new camper I've felt a certain BOND with Warren and I'm sure he has shared many a BOND with his fellow man. Sorry....bad joke

Forest River RV Online Owners Manuals
I'm still hoping for a manual that is model specific. Maybe next 5er I buy will have one. Mine is a triple axel and the only one I saw (via your link) is a double. The sticker on the side of mine is "36 DBKS" I can't find anyone else that owns one including searching this site!

I, along with what would guess the majority of FR owners here, am very happy with multiple FR units I have owned and proud to be a FR owner.

If you're not satisfied with FR, why are you here and posting. Why not find another product you like more?

I agree with you Ned. Everyone experiences problems, and this is a great place to get assistance.

I just don't understand why people hang around just to bash the brand.

Don't bet on it or hold your breath; you will turn blue before that happens.

I am on my third 5er from three different manufactures and none of them have published model specific manuals. In fact the last unit I own which was a 318SAB Cougar 2010 model built by Keystone. The manual was so bad that you had to go the sub-manufactures web site and see if you could find information on the slides. Thankfully Lippert Components did publish manuals for their slides.

I figured that out, it's just frustrating! Would be nice to find my model online somewhere though. Fortunately, I'm kinda handy and have tools and an inquiring mind! Happy camping!

Just human nature tied to the ease of venting that the internet affords everyone. Behind the bashing though you'll find some good points that need to be said. Thats why I always read them good ideas always have a way of shining through the chaff. By the way I'd be proud to wear a Sunseeker hat. Heck forgot to get a dealer hat when bought my 2650

The lack of owner's manuals is not surprising. How many of you out there run powerful computer software with an owner's manual? I would bet not many. Is your car owner's manual worth a damn? Nope. Mine doesn't even tell me how to change the battery (lo and behold, it's behind the passenger's seat!). I'm pretty sure our Harley didn't come with one, either.

Thank goodness for Google & YouTube these days.

Our sales person Wendy at Travel Camp RV in JAX Fl gave me a Wildcat hat when we bought our new 5er. Also got a thank you card from her. We were her first sale. Very sweet young lady. She had a lot of help from GM Dave closing the deal. I am hoping their service dept gets better as fairly new dealer. So far less than impressed

Totally agree. Their Product is great BUT quality control Sucks.

Our manual says nothing on how to run the control panel, fueling station, solar panels, winterizing, how the DVD player works with the TV, how they ran the coax for TV antenna or the Satellite hook up.

How about a proper manual please.

FR does not have model specific owner's manuals, but they do have generic RV manuals which go through the major systems, but your actual appliances may or may not be what's represente in the manual.

Virtually all RV manufacturers provide just a generic owners manual anymore, not just FR.

Our triple axle manual pertains to a wide range of rv's and says nothing specific about ours not even air pressure. No biggy to us on the components or wiring after taking a few things apart and fixing the flaws. We love the 42'er and putting the toys in the garage. Our dealer gave us $150 credit to get anything we needed out of there store. our dealer can't fix anything properly but I can so we haven't been back. Did I mention we love our 2014 Palomino Columbus 3650TH!!!

I'll buy my own tchotchkes if i want them. I'd rather not "pay" for things like that. To each his own...

Interesting. I got a manual for my Wildwood X Lite. It is a generic TT/5th wheel manual that contained a VERY high level overview of some of the systems and then I got manuals for most of the appliances in the unit. The FR WW Manual is riddled with misspellings, it's comical. I did overhear my dealer saying that they get charged 30 bucks per manual so maybe it is an option for the dealer to purchase or not.

I love the idea...my husband has a company that does that, and the cost would be a little more than that but worth every penny. "FROG SHIRTS" could be really fun! And who wouldn't want a big open-mouthed frog coozie!

When i purchased my 2004 Coachmen Motorhome it came with a very nice bag with the coachman logo on it and it contains and holds all the manuals and literature for the unit, This was a great thing to have. Keeps everything in one place instead of throwing all the manuals into a drawer. When i bought my New Sunseeker it did not have one, I had traded in My old coachmen and so i just went back out to it and dumped all the maiuals in a drawer and took the bag, and now keep all the Forest River manuals and other literature in it. Simple ,and in quantity very little cost to the manafacture.
