It was a little hard to keep up with all the humor, but I bought a used 5er work and play that was damaged and repaired. I contacted the original owner and he told me he could not replace this trailer and wished he wouldn't have parted with it because of the cut in production of 5th wheels. There may be something to this because this is not the first time I've heard it and it hasn't been on just this forum.

Some Potential Reasons:

Last new unit sales number show a decline in sales for larger RV’s, with a corresponding increase in smaller unit sales.

Anticipation of the booming sales declining, possibly along with the overall economy.

Increased competition.

Fear of litigation against the Mfg., allegations regarding tires, suspensions, weight capacity for construction, etc.

Couldn't really say for sure. I haven't gotten the answer to the rumor. It has been said that they
can manufacture about 2 to 3 5th wheels vs. 4 to 5 TT's on a production line... ??

Maybe FR is waiting to feel out the coming of a new political climate.

A couple of members have requested that I send them some of the FROG information / registration cards. If you'd like some, please send me an e-mail at frog@forestriverinc.com with your name and address where they should be sent.

I'm not familiar with all of the user names, and don't check forum PMs as often as I do e-mail (multiple times a day).

Thanks!
