Forest River warranty extension

I just purchased the one year warranty extension from Forest River for my 29RE Silverback. My question is should I receive anything saying I have an extra year? I did receive a copy of the form I sent in with a paid stamp on it. Is that all I will receive?

that's all I received back from FR, so I figure I need to hold onto it for evidence

That form is the Extended Warranty and should be kept with your other important papers. The lower left portion of the form has a place for FR to countersign. That is what I received back from FR.

You'll receive a signed copy of the original letter back in about 2 - 3 weeks.

Thanks, look's like I got the correct paperwork. Lets hope I do not have to use the warrenty. So far so good no problems knock wood.. Very happy with the trailer and the quality

If you don't receive the signed copy from Forest River in a couple weeks you should follow up with them. We didn't hear from them after sending our check and form for several MONTHS. After calling and enquiring about paperwork, they said they'd look into it because they showed it was submitted. In July we got a PHONE CALL from a complete stranger in California (we live in Michigan) who had received our paperwork..... She forwarded it to me. Strange, and rather disconcerting....but seems to be par for the course..... But, that's another story.

Same here on my 2016 29RE I also printed a copy of the cancelled check and attached it to the paid receipt and placed in the camper file as others have said.

Is this extended warranty only offered on certain units or all rv's from FR? I didn't get an offer on this.

I think it's an offer to all FR products, I would contact FR and ask,.......the form was in the paperwork of both our Micro Lites,...the first dealer made a point of showing it and explaining what is was about,..... the second dealer spent 5 min. pitching their dealer extended warranty for almost $1,000. when I asked about the $150 FR extended warranty, the lady said "oh, that form is in your paperwork somewhere",.......

Same here dealer pushed buying a third party warrenty. When i was going thru the paperwork I found the form for the one year extension. The form said it had to be purchased within 2 weeks of delivery. I called Forest River explained the situation and was told to send in the money and I would be covered for the second year

I understand the 2nd year warranty is not available for Motorhomes and not all brands under the FR umbrella of companies qualify. As mentioned, call FR to verify.

My dealer never mentioned the extension and there was no paperwork for this. I found out about it thru this forum. I later took a look at a Flagstaff brochure and it is referenced on the back cover.

There was no information in my papers or did the dealer inform me about it. I learned from this helpful forum. (2016 Silverback)

Yes that is all that you will receive. It extends your one year warranty for an additional year.

Ditto on the dealership pushing their warranty. From this forum, I went looking for the paper to extend the warranty. Found it, but was about 10 months after or purchase date! I sent a letter with our form and check to FR. They cashed my check and returned the form for an extra years warranty on our Windjammer. Glad to have it, but hope we don't need it.
