Forest River Warranty work

Last Labor Day, we bought a Flagstaff HW27KS. We bought it in Indiana because it was $4k cheaper than here in NJ. There is one local dealer that multiple friends have used and haven't been happy with. The other local dealer has stated since we didn't buy it from them, they don't have to do warranty service for us. Any other ideas or do we just head back to Indiana? Thanks

you need to contact a warranty rep at FR, for your brand.

we bought our Roo in Chicago and brought it back to Napa, Ca.
the Roo warranty rep found a number of nearby dealers that would be willing to do warranty work. one didn't even sell any FR products.

you can also request using an independent RV shop but you have to have FR pre-approve the work and you have to be willing to pay upfront and then get reimbursed after the work is done.

You might also contact the dealer you bought it from. They might have a network of dealerships with whom they've established a relationship to handle their customers' warranty work.

I bought mine from a dealer in Indiana. When I needed warranty work, I called them. They had the work approved by forest river and then found a local dealer who would do the work. I dropped my camper off at the dealer, picked it up a week later, and paid nothing.

mcshane - where are you in NJ? In northern NJ here, can recommend a place or to if you are near.

dieselbobcat, we are in SJ near Philly. We did contact CW, but they said they would only do the appliance warranties until the original warranty expired & our extended warranty kicked in.

It sounds like the Dealer is the problem. When I had warranty work done. I called Forest River they told me to pick a dealer that I liked. The dealer and Forest River worked it out. They did excellent work. I was happy with both the dealer and Forest River.

Can I ask what kind of warranty work you need done?

The door doesn't seem to align properly, the lift motor has a recall, and a few minor things I'll have done while it's in for the others.
