from what i remember, FR "rescued" these faltering RV manufacturers and provided monies to keep them alive, at a time when many RV manufacturers were going bankrupt or shutting down their factories and disappearing.

they were allowed to keep their factories separate from the original FR brand factories and retain some autonomy/independence and their current staff.

i could be wrong, especially since i'm 60 now!

While I wasn't involved in the design/implementation of the site upgrades, I was part of the user group that tested the site and offered some commentary on it. I don't know and so can't speak to some of the underlying considerations on linking or not linking to brands that have their own websites.
