The trailer weighs about 3500# I beleive so I should attach a WDH if I carry both bikes as the hitch capacity is 5000# without one.

We had the trailer before we decided to trailer the bikes so it is a tight fit. The size you are looking at should be about right.

One suggestion is to get a Condor Pit Stop chock or similar and mount it in the trailer for the 2 wheeler. It will not budge.

Great info..... more importantly, great color for the bikes. We also have Yellow GW.
Our trailer is going to be all aluminum with approx 2200#.
Tow capacity for the RV is 7500 with a 750 hitch weight limit.
Getting a v-nose trailer so we can't use a WDH, but I don't think it will be necessary.
Thanks,
Ride safe !

Why cant you use a WDH. No jack in the front of the trailer? My WDH doesn't extend that far back from the jack location!

Tow a Mini Cooper convertible that weighs 2400 lbs. Use a Blue Ox system. Drops MPG from almost 8 down to ~6.5 running 65+.

We have a 3170DS and flat tow a 2003 Dodge Dakota crew cab 4x4. I use a Blue Ox tow bar and SMS brake setup. While on flat ground, I don't even know it's there and hills/mountains, no worse than towing my 20' ski boat. Mileage drops approximately 2mpg, but I don't have my foot in it much. Rarely cruise above 65, most of the time around 62. Love having my truck behind me.

We just took it all up to Reno for Thanksgiving and ran 395 both directions. No problems.

Safe journeys.

The trailer has a v-nose which give only about 12" past the v to the coupler. It takes about 30 inches from the couple back on the frame to attach the WDH. That puts it inside the v-nose which covers the hitch frame.

Thanks for the feed back. Sounds like we will be in good shape with the 3051S and towing the trailer. Can't wait to get both of them in February.

We are both suffering from PMS, Parked Motorcycle Syndrome.
