Found my air mattress problem

Last October I tried the air mattress in my new Wildcat out and it went flat. Long story short I dealt with Curtis the service manager for Couchs RV in Ohio where we bought it and he got me a replacement. Camping season had ended and fast forward to last night wich was out 1st outing for 2014. I put the air mattress out inflate it and goes flat! I found the problem have a look at some pics.

Here is the couch opened in sleep position. Matttess lays on this surface. Note the seam I outlined in red.

I peeled the skin back after discovering staple ends poking up thru it! Gee wonder why the both mattress went flat.

the staple the grey bands on each end and the end outlined at that seem had staple ends sticking up.

in all about 4 ends sticking up. I pulled them all out but boy was I annoyed. Thankfully my Mom is only 4'10" and was able to sleep on the couch in the upright position. Who would ever think there would be staples sticking up I mean we unfold the couch lay the mattress on top and inflate it. Gonna be calling Curtis for another replacement.

Glad you found the problem. Seems that we all have little things that we have to get worked out.

Man, that is just sorry. Have these manufacturers never heard of quality control?

Agreed I was very agitated this is just poor workmanship. With that said if this ends up being my worst problem with this unit i'll have done very well lol.
