I like the taste of the water. Thanks for your warning, though.

A couple of years ago I replaced my RV water pump with a stronger one and I use the old pump to transfer water to my RV.

I see many have answered your question and I will throw on my two cents worth as well! What I did was purchase a replacement pump for the 5er and until it is needed it is my transfer pump. Seems when you have an extra anything, the original lasts longer!

Yep, my intention is to use my winterization valves and outdoor shower hose to fill my freshwater tank. It's actually the basic idea for how I fill the fresh water tank when I'm on city water and don't want to disconnect from city water.

Bilge Pump

I picked up a bilge pump at the RV and Boating supply, and use clear tubing, to pump an Ice chest full of water from the bed of the pick up to the RV. Works incredibly fast. 12 volt. I keep it all in a tote bag.
That is for the first fill after setting up at Elk Camp.
When I refill with two 6 gallon jugs, I just hoist them up. Its a minor workout. 48 lbs each no big deal.

I got a 12v, 200gpm pump from Harbor Freight. It has worked fine so far.

X2 FlyBob.
I use a Rule deck washdown pump that has in/out 3/4 hose ports and is 12vdc. Wiring is coded red/black and about 2 ft long. Mine has been on three boats over the years and still pumps like new.
West Marine and Amazon have them.

A 12v, 200gpm pump? I doubt it.
