Fridge noise

Hello all,

Question for everyone. I full time (windjammer 3029w) down here in Texas and the site I am in has a tree on one side and nothing on the other. The sun beats down on the side with the fridge and due to the heat makes a humming noise. Has anybody used a tarp or something to create some shade and attempt to cool the side down?

I haven’t heard that, though you might look into window awnings for the backside of it. It’ll look a little silly, but it should help somewhat.

However, I’ve read that a bunch of folks add computer fans to the rear side to help push + pull the hot air out the chimney.

fridge fan

My Dometic used to make the noise you talk about. At first it was irritating but then I got used to it and actually was glad to hear it because I then knew the fridge was working.

Have since cured the problem by installing a residential fridge.

If the humming is from the fan in the flue, just replace it with a better quality model and it won't be humming any more.
