FROGS At Tampa RV Show...

Hey FROGS, Lets show them how much we support our group, if you have something with FROG on it to wear like name tags, shirts anything wear it. Make Bob and Cindy proud at the number of people supporting them and all the hard work they do for us.

Roger and Mary and all others, thank you for the kind words. First of all, let me emphasize that we always appreciate the support of those FROG members who attend, host, or help and any FROG events, whether rallies, dinners, shows, or anything else.

Unfortunately, some of you, especially those who just attended the FROG dinner in Tampa, know that I severely injured my knee about a week and a half ago. After going to on orthopedic center in Valdosta, GA last week and receiving x-rays, a cortisone shot in the knee, and pain killers, I found myself unable to walk even a step without crutches, and only about fifteen feet with them. As a result, I missed the dinner, which Cindy so ably hosted with great help from several members at registration.

With no further progress on the knee, we've had to return to Valdosta, where I had a follow up visit at the orthopedic center yesterday, received even a quadrupled level of pain medication, and have now scheduled an MRI for Saturday morning to check for cartilage or ACL damage. Sadly, we will not be at the Tampa show, and did not have an opportunity to arrange for anyone to cover for us and provide them with materials between when we were able to get the follow up appointment and when we had to leave. (Fortunately, it's my left knee, so I'm still able to drive.)

Still, though, we encourage anyone to stop by any of the Forest River displays (we'd have been under the large Forest River arch by the RV World and Lazydays motorized displays) and spread the word about FROG to current and potential owners.

Thanks to one and all, and I hope to be back on my feet soon.

Wow.. I will just have to send our support from a distance as we are currently sitting on the comic-con cruise ship at port Tampa awaiting departure. Have a blast everyone at the RV show.

Get better soon Bob. You were missed at the dinner but Mama Frog did a great job in your absence. We have been wearing our Frog shirts and lanyards every day at the show and have run into some other Frogs as well. Were just at the Forest River area today. We are camping here on the grounds until Saturday and are in LP3 if any other Frogs want to visit us. In the P loop next to the outside fence.
Having a great time......

John, glad to hear that you had a great time at the dinner on Sunday, and I appreciate the kind words. As my Dad used to say, I used to worry about turning sixty until I realized that it beats the heck out of not turning sixty. I hope that the MRI on Saturday will give us some good indication of where we need to go from here.

By the way, I'm also glad to hear you met some new friends at the dinner. Hands down, the wonderful people that you meet at various FROG events are the best part of the whole organization. Cindy and I have made a lot of great friends through FROG, and we get a lot of pleasure from seeing and hearing about many of the other friendships formed as well.

Bob & Sharon, I was certainly hoping to be able to be there on Sunday, but knew that Cindy would do a great job of covering things. We always enjoy visits from other FROG members who stop by the table to see us, and I'm glad to hear that they're once again out in force. According to RVBusiness.com, the Tampa show is expecting record attendance of 70,000+ this year.

Bob & Anne-Marie, thanks for the encouragement. I have an MRI scheduled for Saturday morning, so will know more on Monday or Tuesday after that's been read.

Cindy did great job at Tampa dinner. At my request she was able to co-ordinate a surprise B-Day cake for Doree despite all the work she had to do to cover for your injured knee. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Looking forward to seeing you at future events.
