Furnace operation on battery

New to camping, gave a Grey Wolf 27RR, how do I run furnace while on battery power? I have the Domestic thermostat, it won't power up so I can run furnace.

Sounds like a fuse, since the furnace is 12VDC.

Do you have the digital thermostat?

Any lights on it?

Try running something else with propane like a range couple minutes, it helps clean air from lines. Then try furnace again. Be sure battery is providing power to other DC items to verify that also.

Furnace operation on battery

If you have a brown cover on the furnace take it off and see if you have a breaker under it.

Can you post a picture of the t-stat?

Is it the factory t-stat or an upgrade?

If it's an upgraded model check the batteries in the t-stat itself.

Is it the square one or rectangular one?
What color is it?

Do any numbers show up on it if you press the buttons?

Does anything else 12 volt work? Sounds like no power to the thermostat. Is your battery disconnect passing power?

If you don't see anything on the display, then it's either a bad or not getting power. If you're comfortable checking voltage you can remove the front of the t-stat and see if there's 12 volts on the power wire.

If tt is not plugged in to 110 volts house power the battery may not have enough power to run the furnace 9.5 volts DC min to run furnace. furnace needs a good full charged battery to operate. The furnace is a 12 volt power hog and will drain a battery very fast.

Found this out the hard way. Apparently something tripped the converter breaker and my battery drained. Flipped the breaker and good to go .
