Generator help!

I have a craftsman 3600 watt generator and I want to use it to power my camper. The twist n lock outlet says 20 amp but as far as I know I need 30 amps. The gen came with a bare male plug (L14-20p).I know nothing about electrical systems so please bare with me.

Hope you're not going to use that in a campground!

If you are, expect a visit from the ranger.

20amps will run most of your trailer but neighbors will not be happy with noise.

So do I make pigtail with a 20amp to hook up to the gen and a 30 amp female plug where the camper plugs into?

Yes, that is what you need to make. Your camper will function properly on 20 amps. I doubt you will be able to run the AC and microwave at the same time though.
