Georgetown 2012. 378. Heat strips.????

How do the heat strips accessed from the inside thermostat work?
I am on the road...temps are dropping...
Will these strips keep my lines warm & safe until I get home?
Thanks for your help!

All you have to have on is the artic switch on the control panel.
It has a thermostate inline that will turn all the tank and elbow heat strips on below 40 degrees F. That's it.

UPDATED INFO
The heat strips should come on at 40F and go off at 65F. Those temps are as sensed by a thermostat embedded in the pads. If the tank contents are warmer than 40 degrees, the elements don't switch on.

I think they work off of 12 volt house batteries. Can someone verify?
