Getting Help

Beyond going back to the dealer that sold you the camper. Is there someone else who can work on and honour the warranty work if any. Mine is a XLR Thunderbolt by Forrest River. I bought it from Campers World in Garner, NC. They just seem to be very slow about contacting you or they are always hard to get up with. My house to their location is an 1-1/2 hr drive. I would love to know if I have other options. That one liner of you having problems we will take care of you and you are at the top of the list. I found out real quick I was at the bottom of the list once they got my money. Bought in June, used one time, carried for Warranty work they kept for 5 weeks, made two payments is not something I'm willing to tolerate with.

thanks for any help or suggestions.

The next closets Campers World is Fayetteville, and the one in Mrytle Beach. Both are two to four hours from house.

Most of us do the minor to moderate repairs ourselves for the reason you listed. If it's something you can't handle, you can contact Forest River and they will usually authorize you to use a mobile service company. The caveat to that is that you have to pay for the service and then they reimburse you for the allocated amount.

Another thing you can do is contact all the FR dealers in your area and see if any of them will work on your unit and can get to it sooner than your CW.

Try Bill Plemmons in Raleigh. I bought my Sabre there and they have been helpful in getting my many issues straightened out. Farther for you but also good is Country Roads rv in High Point. Both places are able to do FR warranty work and will work on trailers they did not sell.
The only thing is, if you don't buy from the servicing dealer, you will typically go to the bottom of the wait list behind customers that purchased from them. Good luck! Tell Wells or Aaron at Plemmons the Sabre owners from Mebane sent you.

Contact FR.
They found us 3 local dealers that would do the warranty work.
One didn't even sell any FR products.

I bought a 2015 Wildcat 327 ck fiver from Camping World in Houston and when it needed warranty work I was bring it in in five weeks and then when did I need it and I told them in four weeks. They called one day prior to the day that I needed it and it was ready. They assign you a service advisor and you are lucky if they call you back after you call them three times.

Agree with Country Roads. All our service is done there. Actually, not in High Point but in Welcome with Lexington mailing address. Close to Winston-Salem.
