Getting the fever bad

Beautiful day in western Missouri today. Hooked up the trailer for the first time to our new F150 Ecoboost. Only pulled the trailer a couple hundred yards from out behind the barn where it was stored for the winter. Just pulled it out where we can start getting ready for the first trip over a long Easter weekend. Trailer is still covered and winterized but just hooking up has got me in the mood to hit the road.

Then just to add to my spring fever I drug out the 57 Chevy and took it for a little cruise. Going to be a busy year between car shows and camping. Life is pretty good right now.

I'm with ya! We are headed out to the Eastern shore over here in MD. last weekend in March.Put some money aside for the ever upward climb of fuel.Diesel over here on the East coast is $4.10 a gal. and rising. Got at least 2 big trips planned this year to see the mouse in Fl.

Me too, brought it home getting it ready for spring break, in driveway. No water yet, still some freezing days left. All else is working!

I have had ours ready for a couple of days now, checked everything out. Today, I hooked up, pulled up the stabilizers and removed the chocks. I wanted to set my brake controller that I had installed back in January so I took off down the street. I got it set where I wanted, no screeching tires. I drove around the neighborhood, went down by the school, pulled in, backed up etc. to check everything out. I then drove a few miles across town, turned around and came back to the neighborhood. I managed to back back down the drive without tearing up something, parked it, and installed the chocks and stabilizers. I am now ready to head out camping next week, it has been a long winter.

Awesome! But you're going to make me cry. I don't dare de-winterize for a couple of MONTHS yet!!

Wow just a month old when you visited! Magic Kingdom,Fort Wilderness campgrounds,Polynesian, and Contemporary were the only things there. Hard to imagine what it looked like back then. Unreal the vision he had and the property he purchased with that vision in mind.

f1100 put that plow away!

Uncovered the TT this past weekend. Had some mice this winter. But all else seems good. Installed a new Blue Ox Sway Pro hitch. Heading to Myrtle Beach this weekend with the grandkids as they have a 4 day break from school.

I am getting the camping bug BAD. It's supposed to be 75 degrees here on Wednesday!!! In March!! Just 10 days ago we had 7 inches of snow, which melted in about 2 days. As far as I remember, we had some snow last April, so I can't say we're out of the woods yet as far as temps or snow go. But it sure is tempting to de-winterize and go camping for a weekend. Too bad we have craft shows the next three weekends. Maybe in April.....by then maybe the final threat of snow will be over and done with.

Pulled out in the rain for a long weekend camp(boondocking). Rained about 1.5 inches on Friday and Saturday. Sunday rain stopped at noon. Had time to clean and dry awning. It is suppossed to be in the 80's today in Dallas.
But boy was it still fun!

We Can't Wait!!! Just over two weeks till our seasonal place opens, the cover comes off, and we start living the simple life. Leaving the house behind for 7 months...Will stop by for a visit now and then though. Got a place that is not too painfully far from work.

Hooked up the trailer and towed it about 30 miles round trip this afternoon. Wanted to see how it would do behind the new Ecoboost F150. Ran it up to the CAT Scale and everything weighed out just fine. Have to be careful though--found myself pulling the trailer so easy I could hit 70 without even realizing it. I want to keep my towing between 60-65. Thursday afternoon we leave for 4 nights at Lake Texoma. Everything is good to go except throwing the food in last minute and setting the GPS!
