Getting the Jeep hitched and ready to be a toad next week

I welcome any and all helpful bits of advice. I know I can't back up the motorhome hooked up to the toad. What else do I need to know? We have camping reservations at San Elijo State Beach soon.

No advice or tips from any motorhome folks who tow a vehicle?

I am not sure there is too much to know. Keep your rearview camera on to monitor the TOAD if you have one. As you said, don't back up. And depending on the system you are using, you will probably need to keep the TOAD straight with the RV to hook it up or unhook it. For the Blue Ox system I use, if you are turned very much it just won't release well to unhook it.

For me, the CR-V just tags along behind me and I just have to be a little more cautious than usual when making turns to be sure the TOAD clears curbs and such.

That's pretty much it. Keep an eye on it via the camera and give yourself a touch more room on turns and when merging after passing someone. Other than that ( I didn't believe when everybody said it) you will hardly know it's there

What Jeep are you pulling? I have a Cherokee Trail Hawk and I'm told there is a kit that will allow you to turn your electric power steering on while towing to keep the jeep from wobbling during cretin but rare conditions.

It's 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport (2 door). I will mention that tomorrow when I bring the MH up to the RV place that's doing the install. Thanks!

I'm not sure the wrangler has that problem? Cherokee trail hawks have electric power steering assist.
