True...There is a group of us down here in the Tampa, FL area that camp together. We mainly like to go to the various State Parks. We made reservations for out November trip back in February.

I guess if my wife, a Florida native, wants to spend Jan/Feb in Orlando, Captiva, and Key West, we'd best be making reservations now, before we head north on our inaugural voyage.

I did not read all the posts but we make reservations just for peace of mind. But that said, it does depend on time of year and the target campground. We know some are first come so we plan to arrive early. So far so good but times are changing and there seem to be many more on the road so if there is a place you are counting on, reserve.
