We try to avoid any place that has a lot of golf carts. I have no problem with people with mobility issues using golf carts but I really don’t like parks where the kids are running around in golf carts. In our area, golf carts are typically only seen in RV resorts and seasonal campgrounds. We don’t normally go to either. We mostly go to Provincial Parks that are natural settings and a few KOAs. We also prefer to walk and use our bicycles.

Do some of you RENT carts while staying in an area for awhile? Some rallies have that as an option.
Right now it depends on where we go. Right now I am working while camping so I dropped it off at work then took the rv to camp . Then the next day loaded up the cart and took it to camp. I am looking for an Idaho toter though. Those are the best way to go. Sometimes we leave our cart at ho.e and rent when it is to hard to take.

X2....On avoiding places that allow golf carts...Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach is a three ring circus with them running around. We prefer to stay at Myrtle Beach Travel Park they don't allow golf carts for transient campers.

Moving from CA here to NC golf carts sure are a big deal here it seems in the South people drive them everywhere around here kids can't even walk home from the bus stop they have to be carted home.

I see some fifth wheels pulling double nowadays, a golf cart on a trailer hooked up to the fifth wheel

Last year while at Ocean Lakes, we actually saw a set-up where a guy had about a 33' travel trailer and then a small trailer behind it with a golf cart. I'm sure his sway-control is set rather tight.

If not his sway control I can think of another factor that might be TIGHT as in pucker factor

We have golf carts in our RV park / resort all over the place. It's nice to ride around and visit.

X2. We prefer MB Travel Park. Carts with inexperienced drivers can also be a hazard for dogs being walked, which is one reason we avoid such things.

We take ours to a few Florida and Georgia State Parks. They have rules, no off road use allowed, and licensed drivers only. At one, we use it to haul the gray water 1 1/2 mile to dump. At another, the towns allow street legal golf cart use on streets with traffic and speed limits 35 or lower. Florida state law allows local governments to set when and where.

I had $10,000+ damage from a metal par car (golf type cart) after it rolled 60 yards down a hill into my main slide out.
Not insured, cg assumed no responsibility for allowing them, and my insurance had to pay.
I do not have a warm fuzzy feeling about them.
I think campgrounds should require proof of insurance on them.

Most do. At least $100,000 liability. In fact, the only one I know of that allows carts but doesn't check for insurance is Disneyworld's Fort Wilderness. How crazy is that?

Same here, I always see signs saying drivers must have a valid drivers license.
