Gone, But Not Forgotten

Today I went to the FR website to look at how the specs might have changed for the Micro Lite 25KS, since we got our 2015, ... well, there is no such thing as a 25KS or its Mini Lite twin the 2503S, any longer, ... they are history, ... yep, I know that happens in the business world, but it just seems a little strange, to be owning a trailer, that we dearly love, for just over three years and all of a sudden its obsolete, ... I guess that's all the more reason to take special care of it, because at this time, there's no other floor plan that interest us at all, like the 25KS did/still does, ...

The Cedar Creek we own now was the last one the factory made of our model. I looked at a Wildcat for two years, a 29RLBS and just when I went to order one I found out they weren’t making that model anymore. I brought the model that took its place, bad problem.

I keep showing my wife other floor plans and she keeps saying, "I like my big bathroom."

I guess we're a unique group.

Looking at my original Feb 2012 Mini Lite brochure, they aren't making ANY of the 2500 series that are in it (2502, 2503, 2504, 2505).

The website today lists 2506, 2507, 2508, 2509, 2511 and 2512.

Looks like they've also dropped the 2503KS, which was a smaller version of the 2503S.

They've also dropped all the 1800 and 1900 series.

Well we like the V-Lites and have owned two and now they are stopping production. Looks like I'll not be buying another camper. Later RJD

Tastes change... and everyone doesn't want to have the same rig as everyone else, so they change it up to make it where nearly every year has a new version.

Our PrimeTime model lasted only two model years before they dropped it.

We are like that with our 2009 Flagstaff 829fKSS Flagstaff. We love the floorplan and it has been trouble free.

No more 2503S? That's a shame.

Our TT is a 2011 model year but it isn't in the 2011 brochure I found online! Like rockfordroo's DW, we love the big bathroom too but I have to admit it's actually too big.

Here's what they changed it to:

They added an outdoor kitchen where the double sinks are in our floorplan and moved a single sink to the cabinet beside the "garden" shower. But I'm not a fan of having a wall immediately at the foot of the bed.

I'll take a smaller bathroom on our next camper, but the new radius showers are too small for my liking. They remind me of the shower we had in our 2010 Roo. Unfortunately, Rockwood/Flagstaff haven't yet decided to offer the new 30"x60" shower in all the Signature models.

They have modified the layout of our model. I like most of what was done. What I can't tell is if the rear basement for storage goes all the way across the trailer or is just under the bed area. I have a couple of long items that the full thru storage accommodates. The newer model is now a 26FKBS instead of my 26FKWS. Main differences are the hall to get into the bedroom without going thru the bath and a true queen bed instead of the short queen in ours. Also seems to be a bit heavier.
