Good Deal?

My husband and I are shopping for our first camper. We have spotted one on the net.. 2005 30' Surveyor super light. It's the SV291 model. I am unable to locate this in NADA to find out if the price is right. Can anyone tell me where to find the value? It almost seems to good to be true at $11,500. Any words of advise as we go to look at campers? We have a Durango and are looking for an ultra light. Thanks!

If you look hard enough, you will always find a better deal. It sounds like your price is in the ballpark. If it feels right, then go for it. We just traded up to a 2007 SV291 and are absolutely in love with it.

Good Luck!

not sure on price on camper, but look real close at your towing capibilities on the truck and the weights on the trailer.

keep in mind trailers showing "dry weight" are with no cargo, propain, battery, upgraded stoves, fridges, etc..

Lotsa folks think that just cause it's ultra light they can pull it with no problems, but do the research before you commit to the trailer and then find yourself with too little towing capibility, there is lots of facts that go into capibility to tow/ including the wheel base length, axle ratings, gvwr, cgvwr, cargo capacity,

last thing you want to do is get a trailer, then get stuck with being forced into buying another vehicle to use it.

Lots of trailer builders are building trailers and marketing them to 1/2 ton truck owners, lotsa of 1/2 t truck owners find out after the fact that the trailer empty is at the max capicity of the truck they have,

best of luck,
